Wrapping up school in Sweden!

So much for frequent updates, huh?
Well in case you're wondering, I'm still alive and well and soaking up every bit of my time in Sweden! And yes, I am coming home! I will be flying back to California on Friday June 5th (2 weeks from yesterday!) after a few days of visiting my grandparents on the East coast.

Well this is my last Saturday in school (sad day!) and so many fun things have happened since I last wrote! I have over 8 gigs of pictures and videos from the last 2 months so it's hard to pick just a few to show you. =)

For starters, last week we had a series of dress-up days. We used our creativity and each other's closets. =)

The 1st dress-up day was a color day, each participant wore as much of 1 color as they could.
(I'm in the middle in pink) =)

The 2nd day we dressed up as guys (all the dress up days was a girls only activity) =)
We each borrowed an outfit from one of the boys here. If you knew the boys at our school you'd be laughing when you saw this picture because we each are not only wearing a particular boy's clothing but also trying to pose like him in the picture. =)

Here's me and my "twin" Kyle. All the boys were such sports letting us borrow their clothes and everyone thought we looked so funny. It was very entertaining =)

Among other dress up themes, we had a crazy hair day! One of the girls here is a hair dresser and asked specifically if she could try something with my hair. I obligingly said yes and an hour later looked in the mirror and saw this!I never thought my hair could get so big! All she used was hairspray and her talent at teasing hair! And if you're wondering, yes, it took forever to get out! =)

Two weeks ago, we had our "travel weekend". You don't have to travel anywhere, but you have the opportunity to go somewhere for a 4 day weekend. I decided to stay at school but enjoyed going on a canoe trip with 8 girls.

The night before we went canoeing we hung a huge tent made of sheets in the library and slept together under it. We watched a movie together (movies are only allowed over travel weekend) and made fruit smoothies! =)

We've had several outside BBQs for dinner or lunch when the weather has been nice.
May has actually been cooler than April. This April was the hottest April recorded in years! I was very thankful for it and although I'm missing the sun more this month, I'm thankful for the rain as I know this country needs it.

I've had several baking sessions with friends, baking either for someone's birthday in family group (as below) or just for fun.

We had a good time frosting and decorating this cake! =)

And if you're wondering if we ever study (since I never really talk about school), YES! Don't worry, I have my nose in books or fingers typing lecture notes several hours a day (it's just slightly less exciting to write about). Last week we had lectures on the church, what the Bible says about it's purpose, how it should run, our parts in it, etc. This was a very helpful series and one of my favorites during spring school.

As this is the last week of school (we leave Friday), I am trying to be very conscious of making the most of my time here and enjoying all the "lasts". So instead of writing more, I'm going to go outside and make the most of my Saturday here and look forward to telling you all more in person soon! =)

Greetings from your temporarily/honorary Swedish friend,
Sarah Jordan ♥
